Social Activities

We offer opportunities to meet new people, socialize and play some games together​.

The MiCom's social activities are of cause not compulsory; you can participate in the conference without joining any social activity. Nevertheless, we will offer some activities in the afternoon/evening after the conference day in addition to several individual chat rooms where you can linger and talk about your preferred topics.

We propose the following games:

Be the first one who guesses…

This will be a little competition composed of several rounds with different categories each. In all rounds, you will need to guess something; the type of question/riddle will change every round. The first one who guesses right will collect a point and the one who can collect most points throughout the whole game will receive a little prize in the end.
We won't tell you too much about the individual categories beforehand; this event will be some kind
of surprise to everyone!

Monday, March 29, 7:00 – 8:00 pm*

Minigames

Here, we will play a few rounds of a different games. This is no competition, just playing for fun and spending some time together. We will come up with some suggestions, like a scientific hangman game, skribbl.io with scientific terms (or with random words if you prefer), Bingo (or special types of it) or Taboo. We are also open for your ideas and can spontaneously decide what to play.

Werewolf for Telegram

Do you know the game "Werewolf"? There is now an online version available via the messenger Telegram (https://www.tgwerewolf.com/External link).
If a group of at least 10 people wants to try out this game, we will open up a round and play as long as we like. All you need to do if you want to join the group is to install Telegram on your mobile device or computer, to check out the website and read through it so that we will not need to explain from scratch how it works on the day itself.

* These time frames are a rough estimation – it is no problem to extend the social activities! You can also skip the beginning of the social activities and join in later (although for the competition "Be the first one who guesses", it makes sense to participate from the beginning – at least if you aim to win...)

Additional reminder: European "Winterzeit" (CET) ends on March 28. Make sure to have the correct "Sommerzeit" (CEST) time by the conference start on March 29!
